Quem vem lá : traços identitários de linguagem hipermídia entre ingressantes de graduação em comunicação

Abstract

This dissertation brings as research topic the first semester undergraduate in Communication in the use of hypermedia language. The research stands on a double conceptual inference around the concept of communication. First, treat the concept as a social phenomenon that fits tightly in the contemporary history of persons, shaping the human spirit by a myriad of languages, which meet and merge in hypermedia language. Second, deals with the concept as an area of higher education responsible for both scientific training and the training of future communicators. Highlight here is the entrant, agent still little known, but cited, even in the Brazilian legislation for higher education. The objective of this research was to investigate identity traces about the use of hypermedia language among freshmen undergraduate in Communication at the Catholic University of Brasilia. To achieve this, it was performed a triadic semiotic study, having in view the need for a methodology that would verify the phenomenon in question as a sign, in terms of Charles S. Peirce. That because the object of research and its subject are in a fruitful status of mutation and redefinition, being there so little reference to both elements within the Communication s research, and new, if they are observed intertwined. Being the freshmen a newcomer to an already established institution, which makes the identity s idea sounds contradictory, it was adopted the terminology of identity features at the conduct of research. This terminology corresponds to a conceptual north where such traces were searched and organized by juxtaposition of the notions of language, in Charles S. Peirce, and identity in Luiz Carlos Iasbeck. The results indicate a variety of meaningful relationships, allowing us to distinguish this entrant thanks to some identity traits that constitute it, mainly its conception as an expressive subject and producer in the field of hypermedia
