Repercussões emocionais de pais mobilizadas pelo exame de DNA para reconhecimento da paternidade

Abstract

The current study talks about the issue of how the emotional repercussions of fathers throughout the process of DNA testing for paternity establishment happens. The research adopts a qualitative approach and utilized as an instrument, open and closed ended interviews carried out with three points that were: Socio demographic data, paternity history, It's discovery and family experience and the practiced paternity. The interviews were recorded and transcribed subsequently. The data were discussed through analysis of content. The results showed that there were several forms of reactions from the fathers towards the repercussion of the DNA testing, among these, feelings like: insecurity, surprise, affection and fondness, were pointed out. The study brought contributions to the analyses of paternal psychology and it also signalizes future inquiries that can be done in this theme.
