Uso do entorno do reservatório uhe promissão: uma análise ambiental atualizada, face à perspectiva de zoneamento

Abstract

The use of reservoirs raises a series of involved questions related to planning and environment management. The occupation of the UHE Promissão reservoir enhances a series of issues on the use of its edges. The Reference Term emitted for the elaboration of the Conservation and Use Environmental Plan of the Reservoir establishes, amongst other objectives, the delimitation of the Area of Permanent Preservation - APP and the proposal of ordering measures, intending to integrate the economic activities with the environmental preservation. This work has as objectives to establish an analysis of the reservoir, being characterized the use in the arm of the affluent Dourado river; to argue the questions of legislation and the possible conflicts and to consider suggestions of environmental management. The adopted methodology was general description of the reservoir, with focus on the borders of the Dourado river, where the most important forms of occupation had been verified. The work indicated that the APPs are the biggest source of conflicts and unconformity with the environmental legislation. The work presented the importance of knowing the occupations of the edges well, suggesting the participation of municipal city halls, committees of basins and communitarian leaderships, in spreading the law and the future Plan of Use lines of direction The study pointed that the management of the reservoir implies the division of the responsibilities among the main users and concludes that the called "ecological conscience" will demand time, being the managers mission to show the importance of environmental preservation, not because it is written in the law, but for understanding the consequences of non-preservation.
